<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Overexpression of ABC drug transporters can cause multidrug resistance (MDR) in cancer cells, which is a major obstacle in the success of cancer chemotherapy. Our study revealed a correlation between the expression of invasive breast cancer resistance-associated proteins, such as P-glycoprotein (ABCB1), MRP2 (ABCC2), BCRP (ABCG2) in tumor cells and pathologic response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy was shown to be associated with a lack of BCRP expression in tumor cells. The pathologic tumor response was correlated with the presence of positive MRP2 expression and the expression level of P-glycoprotein in cells of invasive breast cancer. </p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>множественная лекарственная устойчивость</kwd><kwd>ABC-транспортеры</kwd><kwd>P-гликопротеин</kwd><kwd>MRP2</kwd><kwd>BCRP</kwd><kwd>рак молочной железы</kwd><kwd>эффективность неоадъювантной химиотерапии</kwd><kwd>лечебный патоморфоз</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>multidrug resistance</kwd><kwd>ABC-transporters</kwd><kwd>P-glycoprotein</kwd><kwd>MRP2</kwd><kwd>BCRP</kwd><kwd>breast cancer</kwd><kwd>pathologic response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Президент Российской Федерации (грант МД-9084.2016.7 )</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Youlden D.R., Cramb S.M., Dunn N.A., Muller J.M., Pyke C.M., Baade P.D.
