<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The use of bimetallic nanoparticles of biocompatible metals with magnetic properties is a new approach to combating cancer cells. Nanoparticles of immiscible Fe/Cu metals, with separated phases at the level of one particle, were synthesized by electric explosion of iron and copper wires in an argon atmosphere. To characterize Cu/Fe nanoparticles, X-ray phase analysis, transmission electron microscopy, thermal desorption of nitrogen, and energy-dispersive analysis were used. Our research has shown that synthesized nanoparticles have antitumor activity against Neuro 2A and J 774 cell lines. Such particles may be promising for the development of drugs for magnetic target delivery.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>магнитные наночастицы</kwd><kwd>электрический взрыв проводников</kwd><kwd>структура ядро-оболочка</kwd><kwd>сегрегированная структура</kwd><kwd>МТТ-тест</kwd><kwd>опухолевые клетки</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>magnetic nanoparticles</kwd><kwd>electric explosion of metal conductors</kwd><kwd>core-shell structure</kwd><kwd>segregated structure</kwd><kwd>MTT test</kwd><kwd>tumor cells</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Российский научный фонд, грант № 17-19-01319; РАН, программа Фундаментальных научных исследований на 2016–2020 гг.</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">Russian Science Foundation, Grant No. 17-19-01319; Russian Academy of Sciences, Fundamental scientific research for 2016-2020</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Mody V.V., Cox A., Shah S., Singh A., Bevins W., Parihar H.
