PERITONEAL CARCINOMATOSIS

Abstract

The literature review examines the main pathological and morphogenetic aspects of the development of peritoneal carcinomatosis and its molecular and biological features. In addition, the basic principles of peritoneal carcinomatosis classification have been presented and groups of tumors, which may be complicated by dissemination to the peritoneum, have been designated. Particular attention is paid to the problems of diagnosis and treatment.
